Twiz sniffed as well, trying to determine what the scent was, it was hard. He felt like he almost had it and then he didn't. "Yeah...I'm not sure what that is either...".

Longtail was still waiting for the signal to go, but he caught a foreign scent, and he immediately drew his head up and sniffed in a wide circle..hoping to see what he was smelling...but still all he could see was the yellowbelly. He growled lightly, as he turned to face his friends and shook his head, believing that tracking this new scent was more important than hunting breakfast.

Redfoot looked over to Ateo with a curious look on his face as he responded, "And just what do you have in mind my friend?"

"I'll fly up and see what I can maybe spot" Kit said. She flew up to a nearby tree and quickly perched down, hoping to not get spotted by whatever might be about and scanned about until she did spot something off in the distance. She squinted until she could make out the form of a sailed clawhand, and her whole face fell into a frown.

For a while all she could do was open her beak and point as she tried to speak.

The sailed clawhand suddenly charged from its spot, running straight towards the yellowbelly that was a bit aways from the group. Startled by the sudden appearance of the sharptooth, the yellowbellies dispersed, turning and running away. The sharptooth ran towards the seperated yellowbelly, roaring as it tried to position its jaws over the yellowbelly's back.

Quickly, it was able to get close enough to snap its jaws around the back of the yellowbelly. The yellowbelly cried out in pain and struggled as the sailed clawhand pushed it into the ground, biting harder, blood dripping from its jaws. The sailed clawhand put its hands on the yellowbelly to try to keep it from escaping.

Longtail sighed as he'd seen that kind of face before...although he couldn't remember where, but now it didn't matter. He turned to his friends and said aloud..."Its a sailed clawhand...very big...very dangerous...and they are really fast...and they took my kill...oh this one is mine!" He yelled out loud as he ran forward and stretched his wings taking flight almost immediately, and racing towards his newest target.

He flew with a sole purpose and that was to take the kill from that sailed clawhand, and he was going to do it the only way he knew how...by fighting for it, and he let loose an ear piercing screech as he neared the sailed clawhand.

The sailed clawhand snorted, turning its eyes up to see a sharptooth flyer coming towards it. It didn't take long for it to realize what the flyer wanted. It hissed as it placed its foot on the yellowbelly to keep it from getting away as it lifted up its head and snapped her jaws in the flyer's direction.

"Get away!" The sailed clawhand shouted, revealing that it was a female.

Longtail wasn't even fazed by the threat of the sailed clawhand and he raised himself into the air and dove at her snapping his beak and using his tail like a whip to try and get her to move off the yellowbelly.
"Get out of my way and off my food!" He yelled in response to her.

The sailed clawhand raised an arm to defend herself, and ended up stepping away from the yellowbelly. As soon as it realized it was free, the yellowbelly started to scamper away, although slowed down by the blood dripping from its back.

Annoyed, the sailed clawhand turned towards Longtail. "You fool! Look what you made me do! Now my hatchlings will go hungry!" She raised her sickle claws threateningly. "Since you chased away my food, then you shall be the replacement..."

Longtail scoffed aloud.
"Please, if anything that yellowbelly belongs to me and my friends! You stole our kill and you can't touch me...I'm a flyer...and your just some silly land walker!"

Littlefoot did not like where this arguement was going, he was worried Longtail was going to get hurt.

"W-we should do something I know, but what?!" Twiz asked both Littlefoot and Kit as she flapped down.

"I...I don't know" Kit struggled to think. She sighed, "and my 'listen to your tummy' instincts' aren't sounding really smart right about now...". Twiz was about to ask for a clarification when Kit sighed and flew over to land on a tree near the argument, out of the way if the sailed clawhand decided to charge, and tried to calm the situation.

"Um...excuse me ma'am...we are sorry if we...chased off the others of the herd too and all but...maybe we could try to fix this somehow" she smiled in what she hoped was an appeasing way. Kit knew she needed some sort of idea as to how but was still working on that part.

Twiz' beak dropped, "what is she doing..." he wondered to no one in general. He sighed, but didn't know if going out there himself would just make it even worse.

"Like..." Kit still thought on how to fix this, "Ooh, I could drive two more this way and you could each catch one, I know the rest of 'em sort of went this way, so I'm sure I could find them" she pointed, hopeful about her plan working.

The sailed clawhand turned her head over to Kit, narrowing her eyes. "The offer sounds tempting but..." She turned her eyes back to Longtail. "I do not think your scrawny little friend here will like the idea of me taking another of his yellowbellies." She snorted.

Longtail gave a short screech as he replied to the sailed clawhand "You got that right ugly! The next kill is mine, and you won't stop me either!" Then the remark the clawhand made finally hit home. "Who are you calling scrawny you oversized bellydragger?!"

"Kit get back here, they're gonna fight no matter what we do!" Twiz called. Kit frowned, "Oh no they're not!". She flapped down and started yanking on Longtail's tail, "You Mr. Stubborn are coming back with me right now if I have to tie you up and...hey!".

Twiz flapped over and did a very impressive job of scooping his cousin up himself and rushing off with her.

"It's gonna be better and quicker if we just let Longtail beat her up" he said. "But...he...oh" Kit sighed, seeing she was outnumbered in this.

The sailed sharptooth chuckled lightly as she glanced at Twiz and Kit before turning her attention back at the long tailed flyer. "How would you make sure the next kill is yours, hmm? I could easily snatch it away. After all, flyers are such weak creatures." Then she rolled her eyes. "But perhaps I am wasting my time with a weakling like you. You're only fit for a snack. Perhaps I should take my leave now."

Longtails face contorted in fierce, raw rage and he said aloud through gritted teeth, "NO ONE CALLS US FLYERS WEAK!!!" He then dived and quickly latched onto the calwhands snout with his talons and began to bite and scratch at her with the ferocity only a sharptooth could, and after several successful hits he jumped away from the wounded area and started scratching another.

The sailed sharptooth screeched in pain, taking several steps back as the small flyer attacked her. "Let go of me, you little idiot!" She opened up her jaws and snapped down, catching the flyer's tail in her jaws.
