Hello, everyone!

Today marks the reveal of Nintendo's new up and coming console, Switch 2.  In only minutes the direct shall begin and we will know when this new console will come out, it's price and what games will be out at launch.

I will post the live event and give my thoughts after.

-Mario Kart World Announced!  Launches the same day the new console comes out.

-Game Chat for the console Announced!

-Nintendo Switch Camera Announced!

-GameShare, where you can share games with others announced!

-Up to 120 Frames per second and up to 1080p in handheld mode and 4K Resolution in docked mode.

-Nintendo Switch 2 Hard Drive holds up to 256GB.

-Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour Announced!  Launches the same day the new console comes out.

-Micro SD Express Cards must be used to upgrade storage.

Note: Please double check launch dates for games.  There's so many, coming out on Launch Day that I couldn't keep up.

Goodness, that went on for much longer than I anticipated. Cool console though. Nothing in particular that I'm looking forward to, but that's been the status quo for me for a while now with video games (so that's a me thing )

Dislikes:
- Their switch 2 demo "game" where you walk around the console and interact with things looks very boring, and is a PAID game? Compared to Astro's Playroom on PS5, which was very fun and free to play, that's just such a boring and bad move.
- No OLED screen

Likes:
- I'm intrigued by the mouse
- Coming out relatively soon
- Gamecube support on their online membership. Still not sold on it, but I would love to play the Pokemon games on that platform someday. We'll see if I just use an actual gamecube instead though, or if there are any benefits to the online/emulated version of the game.
- Compatability with many Switch games, neat
- Download play, neat
- Microphone, neat
- Nintendo finally embraces voice chatting as a thing people do lol

Actually it feels like this is the 3DS era for the Switch. Much more complete than it's original counter part. I'm still debating whether or not to get it at launch or to wait for a special edition that I like.

Overall, a very solid presentation.

Ugh!  Getting all of the announcements on was nuts!  Glad it was my day off of work!

Not to mention the Live Version had a few broadcasting problems part way through.  I'll likely have to watch it a second time just to make sure I got it all.  So possible edit of that post coming.  Also, first post will likely be edited when the Live Version is removed.

I so wish they gave me a freaking price, but with a certain President's Tariffs causing problems, I get why they haven't yet.

With so many games on my list now, (Mario Kart, Metroid, Pokemon, Kirby and more.) my wallet is going to be hating Nintendo right now.

On top of that, I'm glad they finally embraced a real voice chat.  The one on the original Switch was too clunky for my liking.  Here, you just push a button and you're good to go.

So yeah!  Looking forward to this.  I just wish there was a price right now.

Well, with the specs I saw, I'm not surprised.  Looks like my recent credit card upgrade will come in handy.  Plus, I think I'll have a few online things earning me money around that time.  So it'll at least help my wallet in the end.

I was excited (and still am for the XD rerelease, I've wanted a shadow lugia for literally over a decade, it's my primary pokemon white whale) but ye gods, not $500 excited! I've waited this long, I can wait another 5 years and see if the price ever drops to something reasonable, especially since Pokemon Z has been confirmed to still be playable on Switch 1.
