The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

As a long-time fan of the HP series, I was wondering...what was your favorite of the books? Mine would be 4. The whole thing was so immense, and epic, and it felt like we'd reached a new level of the series. Anyways what was yours?

I was stuck between either Goblet of Fire or Order of the Pheonix. They're both my favourites out of the series, but I went for OotP. The story was really good, it has one of my favourite characters (Umbridge) and I remember first reading it at the start of a school summer year so I'll always have good memories tied to it.

Definetly the first one. The further the story advanced the less inspired it got.

Book 3. For some strange reason, it was my favorite.

Just moving this topic to the appropriate section :)  As for me, I like book 3 the best. The introduction of Sirius Black (great character) and many creatures which we had not heard of in earlier books. Second place comes the final book.

Also: The deathly hallows is one book, only the film is separated in two parts, so I changed that too.

This was one of the few series where the last one really blew me away. Despite being a long-time fan, it still exceeded all of my expectations!

I am bad at picking favorites, but I did like "The order of the Phoenix" very much.

I think I'd say the first 3 were the books I liked best.

Order of the Phoenix was my favourite. Things really got going in that one. I probably like it due to nostalgia too - I used to listen to it on audio book every night before I went to bed. Having Stephen Fry read it was amazing too.

I like book 5 the most. But 6 and 7 are great, too as well as the other books :)

Firstly I like 5 the most because it's the longest book  :lol It has a lot of great fighting scenes and I like the idea to found the Order of the Phoenix.I like the relationship of Harry with Cho(sad that they broke up, but well...Ginny + Harry is better I think...)
Umbridge is a great character! I like that the DA is founded.
That are some points I especially like(now I want to read them again :lol)
Inactive, probably forever.

Looking back over it I like the first 2 best.  3 to an extent though I dislike certain bits of it.  I didn't like 4 onwards to much.

Eh, I got that with the 7th. Then I reread it, and it makes more sense.  :lol

I liked Half-Blood Prince a lot as well. I liked how Ron and Hermione were finally getting it on... ;)

I've only read books 1-4 and 6 all the way through. Out of those, 4 was the best! :smile

I pick 6 of them but the best is the Book 2 of Harry Potter. :lol  :smile  :DD
I like to watch Dino Squad, Street Sharks, Sabrina's Secret Life, Extreme Dinosaurs, Sonic Underground, Transformers Prime, Power Rangers, Yugioh, Phineas and Ferb, Digimon, Cardfight Vanguard, Land Before Time (14 Films and TV Series) and I like to play Zuma Deluxe

I guess the third one, Prisoner of Azkaban, is the one I like the best. I'll admit that I only care for the first four books for the worldbuilding. The books getting more into the plot was what made me lose interest, actually.  :smile

I thought book five was hard to read because Harry spent most of it yelling in ALLCAPS! I know there was a reason for him to be angry, but still.  :bang

In book 5 Harry Swore but in the movie they didn't add it in. I read all the books I liked Book one a lot. Read it a few times. Book 5 also I like how it got darker and so on.

Goblet Of Fire and Prisoner Of Azkaban were - and still are - my favorites. :)
I agree with you on the 4th book, I got the same impression of it, like it was nothing we had yet seen in the stories.
The 3rd one appealed to me for the mystery factor, and of course the wonderful surprise with Sirius at the end (um, I'm assuming most people have read it by now, so I don't have to worry about using spoilers, right? XD )
