My dad likes 'em! I like 'em too! (Even if I don't know a whole bunch of their songs...) In fact, Classic Rock is one of my favorite genres. I'm kinda into Jazz lately, though - mostly Miles Davis. Classical when I'm in the mood. (Debussy, a lot. Also Mozart, Bach, Beethoven *coughmoonlightsonatacough*... All the greats. Actually, I've been trying to play that one on the piano for years now...)
But, yeah, The Reaper is a good song... Nights in White Satin also comes to my mind...
Nights in white satin
Never reaching the end
Letters I've written
Never meaning to send
There's a lot of thought in there... Being a poet, I can appreciate SO many of these songs... Great post, Lillefot!
"And the Most High said unto Moses, Ahayah-Asher-Ahayah. And he said, Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel, Ahayah hath sent me unto you... This is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations."
1953-2011... One day, mother, I shall see you again...
