Yeah, they didn't bother to edit Littlefoot's dialogue to reflect the change. 
Also I find it hard to believe that Littlefoot was the only one who saw it in this version. It's so bright, someone else could have easily have their sleep disrupted by this.

I plan for him to appear when the gang are asleep. He would crash just outside the valley... And probably meet Taunt there.
It would be oddly quiet due to the way his space craft was designed. We can have the entire gang get a glimpse of it if you all wish.

This was a fun silly story. XD Like how we got to see the chase from the perspective of the "hunter" as I feel like it's more common for stories to have it in the perspective of the one being chased.
Also poor Wild Arms, Ozzy might just go after him because he is such a scardey-egg. 
Also the detail where it's said that a bunch of larger creatures ran from the "hunter" before... I can't help but think one of them being:
